Admissions to Integrated first degree programmes, at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad
Campuses for I Semester 2009-10 will be made through a computer based online
test conducted by BITS. This test is referred to as 'BITS Admission Test', in
short as BITSAT.

Digital Library of India Another Education Hub (Like Google)
For the first time in history, Digital Library of India will foster creativity
and free access to all human knowledge. As a first step in realizing this
mission, it is proposed to create the Digital Library with a free-to-read,
searchable collection of one million books, predominantly in Indian languages,
available to everyone over the Internet. All the significant literary, artistic,
and scientific works of mankind will be digitally preserved and made freely
available, in every corner of the world, for our education, study, and
appreciation and that of all our future generations.
One of the goals of the Digital Library of India is to provide support for full
text indexing and searching based on OCR (optical character recognition)
technologies where ever available.
